{"id":153,"date":"2011-05-27T10:32:18","date_gmt":"2011-05-27T15:32:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sisterhoodofavalon.org\/thebarge\/?p=153"},"modified":"2011-05-27T10:33:01","modified_gmt":"2011-05-27T15:33:01","slug":"avalonian-thealogical-seminary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sisterhoodofavalon.org\/thebarge\/?p=153","title":{"rendered":"Avalonian Thealogical Seminary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some of you may, or may not, know that the Sisterhood of Avalon runs a seminary to train members as clergy to serve within the organization and within their own communities.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sisterhoodofavalon.org\/thebarge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/waterfall1.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p>From the webpage (<a href=\"http:\/\/avalonseminary.org\/\">http:\/\/avalonseminary.org\/<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: x-small;\">The aim of Avalonian Thealogical Seminary is threefold:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: x-small;\">1 &#8211;\u00a0<strong><em>To Remember<\/em><\/strong> &#8230; Through Service to Self &#8211; We provide\u00a0 a centralized, uniform foundation in the Avalonian Tradition to reveal a practical road map for undertaking the\u00a0 journey towards personal evolution and self actualization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: x-small;\">2-\u00a0<strong><em>To Reclaim<\/em><\/strong> &#8230; Through Service to Sisters &#8211;\u00a0 We cultivate the art of Empowerment Midwifery, present training in pastoral counseling and\u00a0 the facilitation of rites of passage in accordance with local laws and scope of practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: x-small;\">3-\u00a0<strong><em>To Renew<\/em><\/strong> &#8230; Through Service to Goddess &#8211; We\u00a0 encourage the growth of this work\u00a0 by requiring that each student complete a comprehensive neoteric Thesis relating to the Avalonian Tradition. We ensure that sisters become fully grounded in the Avalonian Method of Wisdom Transmission, so that the ever expanding circle grows ever stronger.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: x-small;\">Registration for the first level of seminary (Seed One) is open to members of the Sisterhood now through July 1.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: x-small;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sisterhoodofavalon.org\/thebarge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/waterfall1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"waterfall\" src=\"http:\/\/sisterhoodofavalon.org\/thebarge\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/waterfall1-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: x-small;\">Some women that join the Sisterhood of Avalon are drawn to the path and to the structure of the seminary as a path for training, support, and avocational development.
